Checkin:
Long and Short Course - 7:15 – 8:00am at Middle Swan Reserve, Middle Swan Road, West Swan.
Novice and Guppies – 8:30 – 9:00am at Barkers Bridge, West Swan Rd, Guildford (North End)

Car Shuffle: REQUIRED.

Briefing:
Long and Short Course: 8:10am.
Novice and Guppies: 9:00am

Start Location:
Long and Short Course. - Middle Swan Reserve, Middle Swan Road, West Swan.
Novice and Guppies - Barkers Bridge, West Swan Rd, Guildford

Start Time:
Long and Short Course: 8:30am.
Novice and Guppies: 9:15am

Distance:
Long Course - 26 kilometres.
Short Course -13 kilometres.
Novice and Guppies U12 – 7 kilometres
Guppies U10 – 6 kilometres

Portages: None.

Classes:
Long course - Divisions x 4, Team boat divisions if sufficient entries,
Short Course – Divisions x 1
Novice course, Guppies U12 - Division x 1, feature GK2 race for Guppies U12
Guppies U10 - Division x 1

Finish: Ascot Kayak Club, Garvey Park, Fauntleroy Ave, ASCOT.

Special Conditions:
- It is recommended that sun screen and sun protection (hat and long sleeves) are worn.
- Paddlers wishing to withdraw must notify officials and return their race number to the finish. Paddlers are advised to carry mobiles for this purpose.
- All paddlers are advised to take adequate fluids for hydration during the race.
- The course is not technically challenging but it is long. Most paddlers will take between 2 and 3 hours depending upon skill, fitness and boat type. The long course is not recommended for novices.
- Entire course is flat and mostly deep, usually with very little wind. Below Middle Swan Bridge, the river is wider, and some river traffic may be expected.
- Adult Novices are welcome in either the Short course or Novice course.
