Conditions tonight were not ideal, with a fairly stiff east wind helping up to the turn but negating the downhill run to the finish. There were 28 riders, a near record for the course, including the welcome return of Lorrie Baildham and Rhona Lettau, and first ride for new member Matthys Redecinghus. The youth riders all finished pretty close, with a couple of personal bests. In the men's category, Don Gillmore won comfortably with a mid 20 minute ride and Justin Mark easing into second place just ahead of fixed wheel exponent Patrick Burnham. A tired Janna Gillick took first in the women's cat. With Lorrie, still recovering from a wrist injury, in second.
Nice to seethe overall times in each category getting faster. Good luck to those travelling up to Comox at the weekend to contest the provincial time trial championships.
