Progressive Racing Group 10th

Well what a great night. It was fantastic to see 24 paddlers taking part again and that was without some of our regulars. It truly makes my day when I see so many people in the group enjoying the experience of racing.

Unfortunately I got a few of our fastest paddlers excited last night with some great times but after checking I had them going off on a grid 1 minute too soon so their times weren’t as good as thought. Apologies for getting you excited and thinking you soon might be able to beat Josh Kippin.

But did you see Julie. She was trailing Ray and then after a couple of cheers she passed him. I could see the pleasure on her face when she did that.

The fight between Izzy and Marie was great to watch. Marie did some great washriding and had some good luck on the last crowded turn to overtake Izzy at the turn. I can see a big fight happening here. I hope it’s not on shore!!

Racing can sometimes be cruel at a crowded turn. Always look ahead to plan the best route to take when overtaking or turning.

I have got the handicap times so close that apart from one paddler everyone came over the line within 1 minute 18 seconds of the first and last paddler. When 5 or more paddlers cross the line at the same time it’s really hard to write everyone down.
