Thank you for entering MARATHON No. 2, THE MOORE RIVER RACE & MIXED K2 OS2 CHAMPIONSHIPS SUN NOV 15th

RACE LOCATION:
Guilderton 94km, 1hr 12mins North of Perth CBD
Start/Finish: Guilderton Boat Ramp.

RACE PREPARATION:
Race number must be displayed vertically behind paddler. Number holders available at rego for $15.00

RACE DAY SCHED:
Check-in: 7:45
Briefing: 8:40
Race Start: 9.00

SAFETY, HAZARDS & POINTS OF NOTE:
Shallow water and logs, rudder hazard
Boat traffic throughout course.
Moore River Foreshore is a DOG FREE AREA
There are now parking meters at Guilderton foreshore
Sun and heat: Apply sun block, bring water
Life jackets are recommended
Medals & trophies will be awarded for the Mixed K2 Championships on the day

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Long Course [11.3km]:
Start nr Guilderton Boat Ramp, paddle up to right of Diamond Island at 3 km, continue upstream to island 500m past boat ramp at Barragoon Road. Turn anti-clockwise around island. Return downstream, passing Diamond Island on left. Finish line is at start location.

Short Course [6.5km]:
Turn anti-clockwise around Diamond Island, return to start.

Guppy Course:
From start line, paddle upstream to the flag at the bottom of the Sand bank. Land on beach, run up sand dune around mark (separate marks for U10s & U12s ) Paddle back downstream to Finish Line, same place as Start.
