Race notes
2 COURSE OPTIONS:
2 Mile Course - an out & back or looping route set in the most protected area from the wind with 0-1 buoy turns (good for kids, first time racers, recreational paddlers & short distance racers)
Performance Course - a technical course with varying starts/finishes, number of buoy turns, & longer distance (not to exceed 4mi) designed to challenge paddlers with opportunity to hone skills for personal achievement or competitive goals in the racing circuit (good for recreational, intermediate, & advanced paddlers)
If you'd like to be in contention for the Fall Series Awards, you must enter 6 of 8 races in the same course (2 mi or Performance) & on the same paddle craft/class (i.e. 12'6" race SUP).
Get Timed, Earn Points, Win Prizes:
Our weekly paddle races are designed for non-competitive & competitive paddlers alike, beginners to pros - paddle anything you like! Each race lasts around 30-45 min with varying courses & divisions.
TIMING: Each participant will be officially timed, with results posted on this event page to track your personal progression & earn bragging rights!
PLACEMENT POINTS: Earn points based on your placement in each race (8 races total). The paddler with the least points at the end of the series wins their division – you must participate in 6 of the 8 races in the same course & category to be in contention for a points-based award.
Point system breakdown: 1 point for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place…and so on. These points are added up at the end of the series. The top 6 out of 8 scores (the lower the score the better) for each participant are calculated, determining the series winners for each division/class/course. *Thus, by entering in a consistent division/class/course (i.e. SUP/ 14′ Race/Distance Progression), paddlers have the best odds at obtaining a series win.
