ANZAC 100


As part of the ANZAC Day commemorations, the Free Radicals Tribe Triathlon Club will host the annual ANZAC 100. This is Townsvilles' defining long course event and is perfectly timed to test your training going forward to Cairns 70.3 or Ironman. No one said it would be easy, in fact it's hard!

The challenge will start before dawn at 4:30am at Riverway pool where you will complete a 1km swim. Next up is a grueling 90 km out & back bike course up Herveys' Range, out to Range Control and return to the starting point. This is where you will complete a 9km run along the leafy banks of the Ross River to finish under the arch.

You will have completed a 100km challenge in memory of the ANZACs. As you cross the finish line you will be presented with your ANZAC 100 club pin in recognition of your efforts. There will be a BBQ breakfast going until the last person has finished, where you will receive a bacon sandwich and an ANZAC biscuit. Remember this is not a race, it's a personal challenge.

You must be an FRT or TA member on the day of the challenge. If you are not currently a member, there is a 15 month membership package available now for new members at a cost of $150 TA fee + $60 FRT fee for Adults, $52-$85 TA fee + $25 FRT fee for Juniors. It is available for purchase online from Triathlon Queensland Membership, just make sure you select Free Radicals Tribe as your club when registering.

Minimum age 14, ages 14 to 18 require parental consent and prior FRT Committee approval.

All proceeds go to Townsville - Legacy.
