The Marathon Pentathlon is for everyone. Male, Female, adult, child - everyone in the family. It is an event for those who compete and for their fans and other spectators.

Prizes and Trophies are being given to the top finishers of all 5 events. Aside from the male and female local and out-of-country 'Competitor' categories, prizes are being given away to those who make up a team in order to complete all 5 events.

Only individuals or a team made up of 2 to 4 competitors who/which finish every event will quality for trophies and The Grand Prizes.

The first event in The Marathon Pentathlon is a SWIM for a distance of just short of 1/4 mile, and swimmers will dive in the water after the conch shell is blown at 8am. The next two events will be a Stand Up Paddle Board race and a kayak race. (all SUPs and kayaks are being supplied by Wheels-2-Go who is located next to the Gulfside Plaza. They have plenty of boards and kayaks in inventory for those competitors wanting to do some training). The 4th event is the foot race running from tee box on the golf course down the fairways to the greens. The 5th event is to drive a golf ball in to the Harbor, during the foot race.

All equipment is supplied. All you have to do is register and show up with swimming attire and running shoes.

The entire event will be televised by TV88, and will be made in to a movie called "The Marathon Pentathlon, 2016".

All Entry Fees collected get equally divided among 6 Marathon Non-Profits - The Dolphin Research Center, Habitat of The Middle Keys, The Marathon Girl Scouts, The Hammock House, The MYC Educational Foundation and The SPCA.

So go ahead and register, and maybe you will win one of the GRAND PRIZES, including a vacation package of fishing, diving, sunset cruise, and a 2-night stay at The Marathon Marriott Courtyard.
