EQUIPMENT NOTE:  All equipment must meet meet the current UCI technical regulations.

All bikes will be checked before the event for compliance.  Briefly, if your bike has a UCI compliance sticker and any clip-on aero attachments are removed, then the bike is likely to be compliant (depending on final inspection prior to event).  More information on equipment is at https://www.uci.org/equipment/bh2JJzw1eB0n876rX2iB1

If your TT bike does not comply with the UCI technical regulations (a triathlon bike with clip-on aero bars is unlikely to be compliant), then you will still be allowed to ride and a time will be recorded for you, but you cannot receive a medal or Centre Championships classification.  You will still need a current Cycling NZ licence to enter the event.

Health and Safety Hazard Identification Please read through the HS Hazard ID below. It is paramount that you are aware and committed to your personal safety and the safety of the other riders in your event and of the issues with riding on an open road. I am aware the road is open to normal traffic on all parts of the course. I am aware that I must obey the road rules and keep to the left of the centre line at all times. I am aware there are marshals on the course who are there to assist me and I am to follow their instructions at all times I am aware on traffic controlled corners there will be cones in the centre of the road to ensure I do not exit the corner and cross the centre line by taking a wide angle. I am going to ensure that when I am keeping left and riding safety that I hold my line, which will in turn, ensure anyone passing me is not suddenly pushed to the right forcing them over the centre line. I am very aware that crossing the centre line may cause serious injury or death to either myself or another person. I am going to assist the event management team and traffic control team by making sure the others in our group also follow the H and S Hazard ID information we have all agreed to. I am aware that the race organisers will stop my race/ grade/ group if any breach of the rules is seen.
