Welcome to the winter biathlon race season. Its time do this crazy complicated fun sport.
We are anticipating a shorter ski loop available, no penalty loop yet. think Cold so we can make snow.
Race format is Gregg's Super Sprint format, using a qualifier race.
Race #1: Short Sprint format: 3.3K (3 laps, shoot PS, 20sec penalty)
Race #2: SuperSprint format: 5.5K (5 laps, shoot PPSS, 20sec penalty)
Everyone competes against each other. No age groups. No hiding. fast and fun and furious race. We will accommodate athlete’s needs for various abilities as always. Eg. P on P, and P on Stand target (cuff or blocks depending upon you/coach decision),
OPEN category race is for USBA Certified biathletes: course options: shoot PPSS except U15 PPPP
PARA Athletes: IR or VI rifles provided.
Newbie NOVICE race does not require USBA certification. All athletes will be provided instructions and guidance on the range. Rifles and ammo is provided at your shooting lane. You just show up to run(snowshoe?) or ski with your own ski/run gear and the club guides you thru the event. NOVICE racers will race their own separate 5.5K race.

SkiErg Biathlon event too:
(this category is for those that want that Biathlon experience, but don't want to run or ski). Limited to qty 4 athletes (2 first event and 2 during Novice event) e.g. only 2 SkiErgs available.

NOTE: There will be NO same day registration. Payment due at bib pickup.

10:00-10:45 ZERO
11:00 OPEN Short Sprint race #1, immediately followed by SuperSprint Race #2.
1pm NOVICE race (expect details the week prior if the novice race will be moved earlier to coincide with the OPEN race #2 event.

Expect details a week prior to event. Thus there is NO harm to sign up early to receive race details and event updates , then pay on-site.
