● I know that running (or hiking) a trail race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury. I am
familiar with the Grace Ridge Trail and understand this area is only accessible by boat and a
rescue would take many hours and will be very expensive. I agree to pay for all expenses if I am
rescued which may include boats, helicopters, ambulances, and medical personnel. I understand I
will be billed for and am responsible for all costs of my own rescue.
● To be qualified to RUN or HIKE in this event I am required to have 1) recently traversed Grace Ridge or
another challenging trail such as: Sadie Knob, Sadie Peak, Alpine Ridge, Goat Rope, Poot Peak,
Crow Pass, Mount Marathon, or have run an equivalent rugged mountain trail over 2400’ or 2) have received an
exemption from the Race Committee. email: kachemakbaymountainclassic@gmail.com

● To be qualified to HIKE in this event, I have hiked the entire Grace Ridge at last once and know that i can finish hiking the entire trail safely in 7.5 hours or less.
● I will not enter this race or hike and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained to run or hike
rugged steep terrain. By my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform and run in this event, in
good health, and I am properly trained & fit enough to run over rugged brushy steep terrain. I
assume all risks & costs associated with running in this event including my own transport to and from this
event and any injuries.

● There are no aid stations along this event, I understand that I must bring all my own food, water & the required gear below.

● I understand that firerarms and pets are not allowed in this event.
● REQUIRED GEAR:
● I will carry with me the minimum required race/hike gear, which includes:
