11:00 V6
Safety Meetings will be 30 minutes prior to your heat.
DISTANCES
Iron Course -- 33 km
Relay Leg A -- 15 km
Relay Leg B -- 18 km
If you are planning to do the Relay Course, register BOTH INDIVIDUALS at once, using BOTH PADDLERS' names.
That is, if "Bob" and the "Tammy" are sharing the 33 km course doing a relay, use both names when you register. (Team name: Bob & Tammy) You can decide between the two of you who is doing the longer leg.
The direction of the race (clockwise, counterclockwise) will be decided on the morning of the race, conditions depending.
If you have opted to race as a relay team, be advised that you may find out only on the morning of the race who is racing first (Leg A or Leg B). Go with it!
The swap out zone is at Tunstall Beach on the west side of Bowen Island.
You will need to arrange to get your second paddler to that beach in enough time to meet the first paddler when they arrive.
RACE FEES
Small boat Iron -- $50 per paddler (i.e. OC1 = $50; OC2 = 2 x $50 or $100).
Small boat Relay -- $50 per paddler (i.e. relay leg 1 = $50, relay leg 2 = $50, so $100 per relay team)
