Where should I park?
- See the course map below.
- Parking is available in the main park lot and overflow in the grass areas.
- Please follow direction of the parking volunteers
- Do not stop on or block the roadway at any time!
- You are responsible for your vehicle and it's contents
- Keep your vehicle locked and anything valuable out of sight.
- DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BIKE UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME!
What are the trails like?
The race course is a WC XCO style 3.25 mi loop. There will be a single prologue lap featuring the Bootlegger downhill run and the Little Rock switchback climb. The main XC laps include Blackjack with it's fast flowing sections and technical rock gardens, the switchbacks of Little Rock up to Lookout Ridge, back out to the start finish areas.
(Due to construction at Bales, the Start/Finish areas will be slightly different.
The main singletrack sections will be the same as shown in the videos.)

Will there be something to eat?
We have some serious foodies on our team. We'll be smoking up some badass bbq for you to nourish yourself. It's part of our fundraising for Special Olympics. You should buy a meal ticket for $5 with your race registration. If you wait until the race day it will be $10.
Is this race sanctioned by USA Cycling?
NO. This race is NOT permitted by USAC. No license required!
Which category should I register for?
- Beginner - (Cat3) First time racers or those with minimal race experience, you're just here to have fun
- 3 XC Laps, estimated time 45-60 minutes
- 2 XC Laps for all Juniors 13-18
- Sport - (Cat2/3) Moderately experienced/skilled riders who can maintain a strong pace for over an hour
- 1 Prologue and 4 XC Laps, estimated time 75-90 minutes
- Open/Expert - (Cat1/2) You know who you are... you will race anyone, anywhere, anytime.
- 1 Prologue and 6 XC Laps, estimated time 90+ minutes

What's the deal with GCXC?
- Green Country XC is a MTB Race Series specific to NE Oklahoma.
- There will be 3 spring races and 3 fall races, with an individual and team points race.
- Check GCXC Website for all rules, events and standings
- Check the GCXC Facebook page and the Hells Bales Facebook Event for event updates.
- A 2025 GCXC number plate is required to race.
- A number plate will cost $20, be used for the entire season and includes electronic timing.
- A helmet is required at ALL times while riding a bike.
- Riders may NOT be on any portion of the race course except while racing. No pre-riding during live racing.
Will there be a series champion for each category within the GCXC series?
- Yes, points are available at all GCXC events.
- After the season finale, the racer with the most points is the series winner.
- You are allowed 1 drop race.

Will there be a team points race within the GCXC series?
- Yes, the Team Challenge is comprised of teams with 4 to 6 racers.
- The top 4 racers will score at each race.
- There will be no drop races.
- Racers do not have to be on the same 'sponsored team or club'.
- There will be no charge or fee.
- Team captain will create a team during registration "Team name (Team Challenge ONLY!)"
- Other team members will select this team name during registration.

Will there be something for my kid to do?
- Yes, the Kids Race is open to ages 4 to 12.
- The courses will be age appropriate.
- GCXC number plates are FREE for all Kids.
- No USAC or any other type of license required.
- A helmet is required at ALL times while riding a bike
SENTIR Racing Team or Spirit of Youth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to cycling, community and charity. This race is a fundraiser for Special Olympics of Oklahoma. All proceeds directly benefit Special Olympians in Oklahoma.
