Mathews VIRTUAL Marathon and Half Marathon -- Oct 1-20

The Event. For those unable to attend the live event in October, but still want the cool commemorative SWAG, you can elect to participate virtually and run the 26.2 OR 13.1 mile distance on your own schedule, at your own location. Participants should plan to complete the VIRTUAL Mathews Marathon or Half Marathon between October 1 and 20. Simply email your finishing distance & time to the Race Director and it will be posted online with the overall event results.

 

The Swag. All VIRTUAL event participants registered by Sep 30 will receive a commemorative plaid shirt and finisher medal. The Cost. The cost for the VIRTUAL event is $50 regardless of the distance - we will mail your sweatshirt & medal out to you as soon as the order is filled.

Participant understands that he/she is subject to the school and council rules of conduct and sportsmanship. The undersigned acknowledges that neither the Mathews Outdoor Club, nor the Mathews Co Government provide any registrant medical or hospitalization insurance whatsoever, and hereby waives any and all claims against the Mathews Outdoor Club, the Mathews Co Government, or any other person affiliated with these entities and sponsors for injuries sustained while watching or participating in this event or traveling to and from event. I also agree that photographs taken of my child or me while participating in this activity may be used for publicity. Participant also understands and acknowledges that certain health risks are inherent with public activities and that the event organizers will provide reasonable safety precautions (such as requiring masks while in enclosed spaces, providing space/room for social distancing) at the event start/finish areas. While the participants are not within the start/finish areas, it will be each participant’s responsibility for adhering to the safety precautions
