Blackhawk Biathlon Club welcomes racers to Regional race #6. We have a very good snow base and have been skiing since late November. With any luck we will get some natural snow to go along with our man made snow before the race.
Race format may change by race time depending on weather and snow conditions. Race directors will do their best to keep registrants updated about conditions but may not be able to determine length and style of race until race day

Mass Start by Age Group Format Biathlon Race
Classifications:
10K Age 15 - Adult Males, 150 M penalty lap, PPSS
7.5K Age 15 - Adult Females, 150 M penalty lap 5K, PPSS
5K Age 13 & 14 (U15) Male and Female, 75 M penalty lap, PPPP at prone targets
4K Age12 and Under (U13) Male and Female, 75 M penalty lap, PPPP on standing targerts
3K Youth Novice Male and Female, 75M penalty lap, PP shooting off of blocks on standing targets
P = Prone shooting, S = Standing
NOTE: There will be NO same day registration. Payment due at registration race day.
This is an OPEN race for USBA "Red Book" safety certified biathletes and youth in a USBA biathlon program.
U15 and U13 biathletes will not be carrying a rifle. Competitive U15 biathletes are encouraged to race up in the U19 age group.
$20 for Youth through 21(minimum age of 10 to participate) $ 25 Adults over 21
A daily or annual USBA membership or USBA "member for a day" is required to cover race liability insurance. USBA membership will be checked at registration.
