Please note that ALL paddlers need to complete the Event Registration. BOTH paddlers in Double Skis need to complete individual entries.
Heading into Race 3 of the NSW Surf Ski Championship series is the Malabar Majors. Paddlers will enjoy the 8.5km ocean event from Malabar Beach to Frenchmans Beach, La Perouse, the 16km ocean event from Frechmans Beach, La Perouse to Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla or the 21km ocean event from Malabar Beach to Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla. The paddle takes you along the majestic coastline cliff line of Sydney’s Southern beaches. We would like to respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we gather, the Bidjigal and Gadigal People and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in attendance
The race starts at 1:30pm with the following courses [if wind is N/NE/NW]
- 8.5km event starts with a standing beach start from Malabar Beach, then 1.5km out to a turning marker, then turn right into Botany Heads and finish at Frenchmans Beach, La Perouse.
- 16km ocean event starts with a standing beach start from Frenchmans Beach, La Perouse then 3km out to a turning marker, then turn right and paddle to the finish at Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla.
- 21km ocean event starts with a standing beach start from Malabar Beach then paddle out 1.5km to a turning marker, then turn right and paddle to the finish at Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla.
The race starts at 1:30pm with the following courses [if wind is S/SE/SW]
- 8.5km event starts with a standing beach start from Frenchmans Beach then out through the Botany Heads to turn left for Malabar Beach.
- 15km Ocean event starts with a deep water start from Dolls Point and takes you out through Botany Bay heads to turn left for Malabar Beach.
- 19km Ocean event starts with a deep water start from Dolls Point and takes you West to Captain Cook bridge to then turn and paddle back out through Botany Bay heads to turn left for Malabar Beach.

The prizes
Podium place winners will receive a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medallion for their achievement plus cool Salty Cheeks prizes from our good friends @ saltycheeks.com.au and Tango Charlie Lights @tangocharlielights.com.au
All the paddlers’ race numbers will be placed in a hat and the lucky ‘door’ prizes include a chance to win one a Bennett Carbon Paddle, gifted from Greg Bennett @BennettSurf.com.
Also a chance to win $200 gift vouchers from Vrack @vrack.com.au the lastest in surf ski roof rack design.
The big prize for the NSW Surf Ski Championships series is a chance to win a brand new Ultra EPIC Surf Ski (valued $5250) or a ALLWAVE Corso Layup surf ski (valued $5250). Paddlers race numbers will be placed in a hat and 10 names from this event will be drawn. After the 5th and final race event on December 7th, the names drawn across the 5 race series (50 people) will be placed into a hat and the two surf skis will be gifted out to two lucky winners.
