Welcome to round 1 of the Gravel in Paradise Series for 2023.

The first event is the 'Gravel Muster' in Middlemarch with a spectacular 918 metres of climbing up through the Nenthorn and views over the Strath Taieri's large glacial valley and river plateau. The rugged hill ranges farmed with the countries finest Merino is also 'home' to the 'Musterer'.

The event starts and finishes at the Railway Station on Snow Avenue, Middlemarch.

There are four classes to enter: Ride Strong (Farming community in conjunction with Farmstrong), E-Bike (non- competition), Gravel 2-Community Class and Gravel 1-Championship class. The Gravel Championship class is the long course, 66km, and all other classes are over the 54 km circuit.

There are three age groups under each class, 20 years and younger, 21 years to 49 years and 50 years and over.

Sign on will be from 9-30am-10-15 am, Race briefing at 10-30am and mass start at 11am.

Prizegiving will be at the Strath Taieri Hotel opposite the Railway station. Medals for podium finishes in all classes and all age group categories excluding E-Bike. Spot prizes kindly sponsored by My Ride Dunedin.
