Bendigo Sporting Festival and Victorian Short Course Marathon Champs.
Bendigo Canoe Club, Lake Weeroona, 34-36 Weeroona Ave, Bendigo, VIC.

This event will also incorporate a series of coaching clinics for paddlers. The clinics are open to all paddlers but preference will be given to juniors/U23 if capacity limits are reached. There is no charge for the clinics if paddlers attend the races.

Ready-to-Race clinic check-in Saturday: 09:30 am -10:00 am
Race check-in Saturday: 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Race briefing 12:30 pm. Racing starts at 1:00 pm
Race check-in Sunday: 8:00-9:00 am. Race briefing 9:30 am. Racing starts 10:00 am.
Event celebration Saturday night. Details to follow.

Saturday pm: Short course singles (some juniors will race in doubles)
Sunday am: Short course doubles. Novice/mentor doubles crews will be assigned on Sunday prior to the race. Novice/mentor crews will probably race in TK2 craft (craft will be supplied by BCC/PV Marathon).

ICF Marathon short course format, consisting of three short laps (~1.1 km each), with two portages for designated ICF classes / no portages for others. Paddlers can enter two races each day if they wish.

Wearing of an approved Life Jacket / PFD (personal flotation device) is mandatory for all events.

No registrations on the day.

COVID-19

• Do not attend if you have symptoms, are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine.
• Maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between others at all times.
• Observe face covering, cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures.
