Open to all comers 18 years and over - non FINA approved wetsuits may be worn but will invalidate the swimmer from State Championship Points.

NOTE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 14/1/22

Prizes for first 3 Males & Females across the line in 1km & 3km events available to all competitors. Registered SA Masters swimmers only are eligible for Age Group awards in each event.

Further prizes are available on the day for age group performances, as well as lucky entrant numbers.


MSSA State Open Water Championships

1km or 3km Open water swim

Registration:

8:30am to 9:30 pm on the Beach in front of the Somerton Surf Life Saving Club

Race:

Start in the water Between the Buoys

1km race - 1 lap (40 Min time limit)

3km race - 3 laps (90 Min time limit)

Finish in water at near the inflatable arch

Start Time:

10am for the 3km swim


10:05 pm for the 1km swim

Race Details:

The 3km race will start first and swim 3 laps in an anti-clockwise direction.

The 1km race will start approximately 5 minutes later, swimming 1 lap in an anti-clockwise direction.

A diagram will be posted on the day and a race briefing will be held 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.

Presentations:

Presentation of prizes and results will be held as soon as possible afterwards ON THE BEACH , Food and Drinks are available afterwards in the Somerton SLSC bar and Bistro. Bookings recommended.
