BRUCE KENT MEMORIAL

Leonard Bruce Kent (23 October 1928 – 9 May 1979), known as Bruce Kent, was a New Zealand cyclist who represented New Zealand in the Team Pursuit event at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. He was a life member of the Manukau Cycling Club and Auckland Amateur Cycling Centre.

The race is a Mass Start for Grades A to E and incorporates the Bruce Kent Memorial Trophy for the winner who will be selected with a sealed handicap. Only licenced Cycling NZ members are eligible to win the trophy.

16km laps starting & finishing at Karaka War Memorial Hall. A & B Grade Mass Start (5 laps) 80kms, C Grade Mass Start (4 laps) 64kms, D & E Grade Mass Start (3 laps) 48kms. There will also be the usual handicap races for Social and Combined Junior racing grades over 2 laps, 32 kms.

REGISTRATION OPENS 7.45am - Racing starts 9.00am.

Combined Junior Grade
• Riders must be a minimum of 13 years of age by 31 Dec 2021.
• Riders must be aged 15 or less by 31 Dec 2021 so we are now giving riders who are turning 15 this year, a choice of riding in the Combined Junior Grade or in Social & Grades B to E.

Junior grade - $15 + $5 for mylaps timing chip if you don't have your own

Social - $25 + $5 for mylaps timing chip if you don't have your own

Grades A to E - $30 + $5 for mylaps timing chip if you don't have your own

For licenced riders who are not members of CMC there is a $10 surcharge per race.
