The 1770 Festival Fun Run and Walk


This year’s 1770 Festival Fun Run and Walk takes place on Sunday 23rd May 2021 in Town of Seventeen Seventy, Queensland.

Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in one of two distances (2km or 5km).
The race fee includes free entry into the 1770 Festival and everyone who takes part has a chance of winning one of the many great prizes that will be for grabs in the random prize draw held after the race.

Dressing up is positively encouraged with a range of prizes on offer for the best costumes that respond to this year’s race theme - “The Spirit of 1770”.



All races start and finish at the SES Grounds on Captain Cook Drive.

The flat 2k race takes place on the the cycle path between the SES Grounds and 1770 Marina. The 5K race follows the same route before heading up the hill on the cycle path towards Agnes Water with the turnaround back to the finish located before you reach the Bowls Club and Surf Club Ave.

There are two age categories for runners and walkers this year: under 14s or 14 and over.

Please note that children under the age of 11 should be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other designated adult of the parents’ choice for the duration of the race.

This is a COVID-safe event with physical distancing and other hygiene protocols in place.
