The series

Plain Valley Ski Trails is presenting its inaugural Tour de Plain 4-stage race series. The series will offer different courses for both beginners and for those after some speed. Racers’ standings from individual races are tallied up after all stages and the final rankings of the season are assigned based on each skier's two best races. The races are as follows:

TDP #1 - Sun, 14 Feb – 12.5km skate (event completed)
TDP #2 - Sat, 20 Feb – 9.0km skate
TDP #3 - Sat, 27 Feb – ~10km skate
TDP #4 - Sat, Mar 6 – TBD

Race #2: 9.0km SKATE

Find the course map here. The course combines the Sprint Loop with the Meadow Loop to create a 4.5km loop that you will ski twice. QR code checkpoints will be at Start, Lap, and Finish.

Registration

$10 (Note: trail passes are required and can be purchased here.) PVST is a 501c3 non-profit and funds raised go to the youth ski team to help with summer camp expenses.

Self-timing

Timing will be managed by each racer’s smart phone with Webscorer Race Timer app scanning QR codes at start, lap, and finish. The QR codes are marked visibly and scanning can be done without internet connection. Timing instructions will be sent to each racer in their confirmation email.

COVID-19 accommodations

For safety reasons, there will be no mass start and racers can choose their own start time during the day of February 14. No race swag or awards will be handed out. Social distancing and masks where necessary are required on Plain Valley Ski Trails.
