Bray Lake’s Winter Ice Breaker Series is back! Albeit with important changes to keep everyone safe while COVID-19 is on going.

1. Numbers will be restricted to a MAX of 30 people on the day and everyone must pre-register by midday the day before. No registrations will be possible on the day under any circumstances – sorry!
2. Anyone attending in person MUST adhere to all COVID-19 measures, which have been put in place, particularly around maintaining social distancing and keeping 2m apart.

Race briefing will be held with appropriate social distancing measures.

For those unable to make it in person, we will also be holding the race virtually and you will have 3 days to complete the distance and submit your time.

We know some of you will approach it with a little apprehension at first so we will also run regular coaching sessions through the season and a mix of event types to cater for all from complete beginners, novices and the more experienced paddler.

As normal, to get a series finish you will need to complete 3 out of 5 races and must race on the same board throughout the series. Entry cost is £7.50 for each race. If you register there is no need to book a slot directly via Bray Lake's website.

Before registering you will need to complete a 2km time trial on the board you wish to complete the series in. You will then know which division to register in. You can either complete the time trial at Bray Lake or independently.

Division 1 – 13:29 and under
Division 2 – 13:30 – 14:59
Division 3 – 15:00 – 16:29
Division 4 – 16:30 – 17:59
Division 5 – 18:00 and over

If you need to hire board for the race please contact the centre before registering to confirm that this is possible and to book your board. Please be aware we have very limited options at the moment and cannot guarantee a board without a pre-booking.
