Event notes
This event is designed for those who wish to challenge their physical abilities to the maximum while enjoying the lushness of Olympic National Forest. Participants can ride 32, 55, or 80 miles on a combination of paved and unpaved surfaces, while enjoying towering evergreens and vivid green moss and ferns. There are both competitive and non-competitive Gran Fondo style divisions, all are welcome to give the Gravel Unravel a try on their own terms.

The event starts and finishes at Worthington Park in Quilcene, Washington. All participants will receive food and a beer from 101 Brewery. There will be additional beer for purchase in the beer garden for both racers and friends and family of riders (21+).

A portion of event proceeds goes to the Quilcene Museum, Count Me In for Quilcene (local scholarships), and the North Olympic Mountain Bike Team (a youth 4-H club).

What’s included?
In addition to an epic outdoor experience in the far northwest corner, all participants receive a professional, well-organized event, a great piece of custom race swag, timing services, a well-marked course, on-course snacks and medical support, and a post-race party at Worthington Park, including food and a beer (21+) from 101 Brewery.

Competitive Division
Categories for each distance are: Juniors (under 18), Womens Open, Womens Masters (45+), Mens Open, Mens Masters (45+). There is also an Open category for Single Speed (Mens and Womens).

Gran Fondo
You can also Gravel Unravel in the non-competitive Gran Fondo style. Loosely translated from Italian as “the big challenge”, think of it as more of a group ride or tour. Set your own goal, be it to go fast or ride for fun, or heck just to finish!
