Exploring our Local Rivers with Lyn McCoy

Drop-In registration for this event opens 8/13

**Drop-In Registration is limited based on PVAW Summer Registrants' ability to attend events. Drop-In registration opens one week prior to events.

Lyn discovered Lake Wenatchee about 22 years ago and have made their home here. She and her family spent their time hiking the local trails, bribing the kids to keep going with M&Ms.  She loves any hike with a place to go swimming.  One of the swimming holes they “discovered” is stunningly beautiful!  She's excited to share this treasure with us!

What to bring?
Hiking clothes:  layers are wise.
Hat, sunglasses & sunscreen
Sack lunch, snacks & water
Possible swimsuit & water shoes - if wanting to take a dip!

The Plan
We will head out on this beautiful 3 mile hike through wooded forests, next to a flowing river.  This meanders along the river, gaining and loosing approximately 250 feet.  We will stop along the way at beautiful sights and for a picnic lunch at her "special spot" where you can take a dip if you'd like!

The Transportation Plan
We will caravan to our hiking destination, leaving Plain Hardware at 9AM.   We will stop and pick up anyone who would prefer to meet at the old Parkside grocery (across from Headwaters Pizza) at 9:15AM before continuing to our destination towards the northwest end of Lake Wenatchee.
