2020 VRC Race Series – Race 2



The second race of the season is upon us and we are bringing back Cupid’s Race.
All crafts are welcome, OC’s, OC6’s, Surfskis, SUP’s, rowers and any other craft.
Weather can still be unpredictable and we will watch the weather carefully closer to the date and make appropriate decisions before race day.

Courses

(Alternative Courses might be considered depending on the day’s condition)
Long Course: VRC - Murray House - Round Island - VRC (¬12.5km)
Sprint Course: VRC - Middle Island - PS buoy - VRC (¬5.6km)

Those with limited experience might consider doing the Sprint Course

Schedul


Registration: 7.45am to 8.20am
Race Briefing: 8.45am
Race start: 9.00am
Prize Giving and Pizza: 11.30am

Cupid’s Race Categories


Read email for instructions.Individual times for Race 2 still count towards the 2020 VRC Race Series standings.

2020 Race Entry Fees - all payable at race day registration


The 2020 Race Series Member (RSM) annual fee is 800$
If you decide to pay as you go then the entry fee is 150$
Double crafts pay HK 200 per boat and race.
4-men and 6-men craft pay HKD 50 per paddler and race.
Additional charges occur for the 3 Downwind races. Race Series Members will get discounted entry fees for any downwind events (which are typically longer and further afield) for committing to the series for the year
Please note that boat transportation fees are excluded.

Safety


Leashes and PFDs must be worn. Waist PFD’s are accepted on this course.
Please don’t abuse this requirement, it’s for your safety.
