The Great Olympic Adventure Trail Run (GOAT Run) is a trail 50K, marathon & half marathon that traverses Kelly Ridge between the Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington State.

The route follows the single track Adventure Trail for the majority of the course, plus some unpaved forest road mixed in (*full course details on website), and less than a mile on pavement. The finish line is in Olympic National Park at the deep, glacially carved Lake Crescent. Famous for its turquoise blue waters of exceptional clarity, the lake is the perfect place to end the race.

The course reaches a maximum elevation of 1,619 feet, with a cumulative elevation gain of 1500 ft for the half, 3500 ft for the marathon, and 3700 ft for the 50K. Challenging? Absolutely! This is a difficult course. But it’s worth it! *(note: half course is long, about 14 mi)

* There are no T-shirts or medals - runners get a GOAT Run pint glass (and contents!) Until August 15, you can opt to buy a shirt while registering.
* For safety, please no headphones
* The 50K starts 7:30am - 8 hr time limit. Cost $85 until August 14, $90 starting August 15.
* Full marathon starts 8:30am - 7 hr time limit. Cost $75 until August 14, $80 starting Aug.15
* Half marathon starts 10am - 4 hr time limit. Cost $55 until August 14, $60 staring August 15.

Refund Policy for 2020

If GOAT Run is unable to happen due to Covid-19 closures, registered participants can choose from a free transfer to the 2021 event, or an 80% refund plus a coupon for the remaining amount off a future event..

Racer-initiated cancels are subject to our normal refund policy of 50% refund on entry until August 1st, 2020. No refunds after that, but for shuttle planning purposes, please let us know if you will not be attending. You may transfer your entry to another race
