The MPA Fall Classic is an open class race that runs up and down the Red River right in Winnipeg. The race will begin at 10:00 AM at the Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Centre (80 Churchill Drive, Winnipeg) on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Please arrive by 9:00 AM to sign in.

This race has different categories for men, women, and board lengths (14′ / 12’6″ and under). Boards 14' and over will compete in a 10km distance race and boards 12'6" and under will compete in a 6km distance.

By attending this event you can earn points for racing. By the end of summer, see how you stack up against the rest – awards and season champions to be crowned at the end of the season. See the 2019 SUP Cup Race Series Standings page for more information and current standings.

PFDs and whistles are mandatory as per Transport Canada regulations. Most of the waist belt style PFDs have whistles inside with the vest. Double check to make sure you have one. Board leashes MUST be worn at all times during the race or you will be disqualified.

There is no entry fee, no medals and no awards ceremony. It's really just for fun. Open to all ages and boat classes. Feel free to bring along something tasty for the potluck after the race.

The MPA Manitoba Cup is part of the Central Canada SUP CUP Race series put on by The Hardwear Co, Hardcore Surf and Paddle Co, Natri Bros, and the Manitoba Paddling Association. Great people that support the sport of paddleboarding in their communities.
