Event notes
Race 5 in the series. Maximum 8 runners per race, via online registration only. Meet at Lily Hill Park car park, behind the Running Horse pub RG12 2UJ. This race starts in centre of Running Horse roundabout at 06:30h with head torches (provided). Staggered start to avoid a 'pile-up'. Head through the south tunnel and up the slope to Broad Lane, up to Rowley Close and retrace path back to the start. Turn left at the start and run through the west tunnel and up the slope to the Honda roundabout, go down one slope, through the tunnel and up another slope to exit still on the left side of the dual carriageway. When you reach the underpass slope on your left, go down the slope through the tunnel and up the slope on the opposite side of the dual carriageway. Return to the Honda roundabout and turn left, you will meet some steps down, through a tunnel and up steps again - carry the tyre here. Return to the Honda roundabout and turn left, running past the Royal Oak pub and the BP petrol station. Run down the Running Horse roundabout slope and through the tunnel to the start once more. Leave the roundabout through the east tunnel and slope to the left, then turn right and run past the front of the Running Horse pub, in the direction of Ascot. When you reach the white gates of Lily Hill Park by the Lodge House, enter the park via the single gate. Run 100 yards up the driveway then turn right up a path towards the large picnic benches and table, making a circuit around the grassy basin, keeping it on your left and staying on the path. When you meet the main driveway once again, run straight across it to the ornamental water garden 100 yards away, then turn left along the boardwalk and under the fallen tree arched across the path; take the next gravel path on the right and then left when this meets another path, follow this back to the Lily Hill Park car park and run back down the slope and tunnel to the start/finish point in the roundabout (3.6km).
