In the vast world of extreme sports, there exists a sub-culture best known as "digestive athletics." The most famous, glorified, respected, & celebrated of all such events will soon be known as The GU Mile.

The foundation of a true GU mile is built upon two things: ingesting packs of GU and running a mile. Join =PR= Arlington on Thursday, April 18th to test your caloric intake & become known as the King of ConGUsumption.

The =PR= format of the GU Mile requires a single participant to ingest 1 full-sized GU, run a quarter mile, then repeat the process three more times. This results in the consumption of four (4) GUs total and the running of four (4) quarter miles.

The =PR= GU Mile will adhere to the following guidelines and ruleset:

1) Each competitor must ingest four (4) GU packs and run four (4) laps on a track (start – GU – 1st lap, GU – 2nd lap, GU - 3rd lap, Gu - Final Lap).

2) GU must be consumed before the lap is begun, within the transition area which is the 10-meter zone before the start/finish line on a 400m track.

3) The race begins by ingesting the first GU in the official transition zone to ensure the competitors run a complete mile (1609 meters).

4) Competitors may only use (4) 1.1 oz 100 calorie GU Hoppy Trails Energy Gel. No alternate brands or flavors may be substituted.

5) Energy Gel Packs may not be altered from their original form and/or tampered with in any manner that could provide a time advantage allowing the GU to be ingested at a faster rate.

6) No water or fluid assistance of any type allowed during the GU Mile.

7) GUs must not be opened until the competitor enters the transition zone on each lap.

8) All Gel Packs must be disposed in centralized recycling container within transition zone or participant will be disqualified.

9) Competitors who vomit before they finish the race are automatically disqualified & must clean the track and themselves.

Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of these events for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising, without monetary payment to me.
