The Routes

The trails will be semi- to very technical, partly jeep track and partly single track. The Fireball, Google, Granny and Peter Pan trails will be part of the routes. Participants will receive full route maps and descriptions.

Water tables – the 9km, 18km and 26km routes will each have one waterpoint. You are also welcome to carry your own water.

Safety

Participants need to assess themselves (and any minors they are responsible for) and determine whether they are fit enough to take part in the Dusk & Dawn Run.

For off-road running it is recommended that you make use of trail running shoes, which provide greater support and traction.

Please note that night running is a challenge and that you must run with caution. There are rocks and roots on the trail that are not easily visible in the moonlight. Should you have any difficulty or injury, please request your fellow runners/walkers to notify the next marshal on route so that arrangements can be made to get assistance to you. There will be medics at the start/finish who will attend to emergencies (details will be given at the briefing).

All participants take part in the event at their own risk and indemnify the organisers, sponsors, host and other authorities of any loss or injury, however that loss or injury may be caused, which might occur in preparation for, during or subsequent to the event and in any circumstances in which the organisers, sponsors and local and other authorities might attract a legal liability in respect of such injury or loss.

Other possible dangers on a trail route include wild animals.

YOUR RACE NUMBER IS TO BE PLACED ON THE FRONT OF YOUR SHIRT.

Environment

Littering will not be tolerated. All containers and packaging must be carried and only disposed at official bins/support areas. In general, please respect the environment. We are making use of private property.

Farm Whk Fitness equipment and obstacles are not to be used without proper guidance by Farm Whk Fitness members. Please do not damage any property or obstacles. Obstacles are used at your own risk and Farm Windhoek Fitness indemnifies itself and the members from any liability arising how so ever.
