Welcome to MAKAI Cup 2019.

This year your entry entitles you to an exclusive MAKAI Cup 2019 competitor 20L Dry Bag.
You get to paddle with Navy support helicopters, and a whole lotta fun at an event that has proven itself to be better each year!

The race has a two day window allowing for the best opportunity to get the safest conditions.
Preference will ALWAYS be given to the Saturday for the safest conditions.

By entering you agree to the following:
YOU MUST HAVE
* Jacket style PFD. HiVis - NO INFLATABLES OF ANY KIND
* Non expired Smoke Flare.
* Mobile phone in waterproof case with SafeTrx App.https://coastguard.com.au/safetrx/
* Leash attaching you and to your craft AT ALL TIMES.
* HiVis hat and shirt
* Plenty of water

EXPERIENCED OCEAN PADDLERS ONLY. NO FIRST TIMERS.
This decision has not been taken lightly. This is a big OPEN OCEAN event along a very isolated stretch of coast and your safety on the water is paramount.
For any first timers we have the inaugural Mini MAKAI 10K race.....see the registration page for that event for further details.

If required, Makai Paddlers will supply you with a driver and/or transport for you and your Ski/Canoe. Please indicate your preferences below.

NO REGISTRATIONS ON THE DAY AND NO REFUNDS.

Download the SafeTrx app, register an account and become familiar with how the app works during training. For paddling, we recommend using the TRACK ONLY mode and sharing it with a friend or family member before you head out for a paddle. “Track Only” trips still record your trip on the handset (and to your trip history on the boaters website) and allows you to review and replay it later. Unlike “sail plan” trips, no ETA is provided and Coast Guard do not monitor your trip.
