Hello Paddlers!

A special end of season SixPack SUP Race and Tour Series event on Saturday September 14 at Thetis Lake. All post expense proceeds including all BBQ donations will go to the fundraising initiative created in support of one of our local paddling friends Pat Valks' daughter Kelly Valks who has a year and a half of cancer treatment ahead of her and is unable to work during this time. Distance tour/race paddle will be 2.2Km from the main beach to the end of Upper Thetis (4.4Km roundtrip). Open to anyone paddling for fun and racers too. Shorter tour/race distance and 1Km race also offered. Option to include a paddle/run or paddle/run/swim to your event experience. More details onsite on event day.

This event welcomes all ages and all levels including first time paddlers. There will be lots of boards to demo.

There will also be a bonus pre race/tour warm up at 9am! Learn about Patches and Badges and learn some skills from Simon Whitfield. Open to any skill level including first time paddlers. Free for paddlers registered for the race or tour. $10 for non-registered racers/paddlers and includes a board.

Please read the following information.

PFDs and whistles are mandatory Transport Canada requirements. Note that most of the waist belt PFDs have whistles inside with the vest. CHECK to make sure you have one. If you do not have a whistle, we will have a few for sale at the race ($5 each). Leashes are recommended (not mandatory for this race).

Wear/bring clothing/immersion gear suitable for the weather conditions on race day. Bring change of clothing.

930-10am – Onsite registration/check-in
10am - Paddlers' meeting
