Course: The 5K event starts at 8:30am and is a USATF certified flat loop course that begins at the Greenbelt SkatePark and ends at the Greenbelt Tennis Courts. Participants run/walk twice around beautiful Greenbelt Lake on a well-maintained cinder path. The webscorer timing app will be used for race timing and results posted online.

The shorter option is approximately 3K. This starts at the same time and place but walkers/runners only complete one loop around the lake. There will be no official timing for this shorter distance.

Registration: Registration for both distances is $20 per entrant or $15 if registering in a family of 4 or more. Register online here until race day or send signed form with check to GNS, 15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770. Make checks payable to GNS. Mail entries should be received by April 5th. Race Day Registration is $25. Race Packet/T-shirt Pick-up: Friday, April 5th at Greenbelt Nursery School 5-7:00 pm and 7:30am Saturday, April 6th.

Directions: From the Beltway (495), take exit 23 Kenilworth Avenue, north, towards Greenbelt; Right on Crescent Road; drive approximately 1.4 miles and make a right at the stop sign behind the Greenbelt Library.
Parking is available in the lot behind the library. Packet pickup is at the nursery school which is adjacent to the playground.

All entrants receive a t-shirt! First 50 registrations receive a water bottle and ice pack. Prizes for Top 3 Female, Male and under 12 for the 5k. All kids participating in the Family walk/run will receive small prize.

Restrictions: No headphones, dogs, strollers, or in-line skates.

Refreshments: Water stop at the midpoint and refreshments after the race served on the playground (inside building if inclement weather).
