5K Family Run for Coffee 2018



Lace up your shoes and start stretching! The FPCHC 9th Annual 5K Family Run for Coffee is Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10 am at Hopewell Park, Columbia MD.

Walkers, runners, and helpers are needed to make this event as fun and successful as it was last year. Runners and walkers and strollers are encouraged to find sponsors; those who collect at least $50 in pledges, or who make the same minimum donation, will receive a tee shirt.

You can sign up for the 5k online or at the Church in the Lower Commons each Sunday morning.

Benefits from the Family Run For Coffee enable Guatemalan families to clear their small plots of land and plant strong young coffee plants as a cash crop and income for the family. Working with our partner Presbyterian churches in the Chocola region, so far the Run for Coffee has been able to assist over 140 families, about 20 each year, with productive fields. The new or revitalized fields provide a significant boost to family income for each family.
