The Great Olympic Adventure Trail Run (GOAT Run) is a trail 50K, marathon and half marathon that traverses Kelly Ridge between the Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington State.
The route follows the single track Adventure Trail for the majority of the course, plus some forest road mixed in. The final ¾ mile of the race is on a paved road, finishing with a bang as runners enter Olympic National Park at the deep, glacially carved Lake Crescent. Famous for its turquoise blue waters of exceptional clarity, the lake is the perfect place to end the race.
The finish line is at Log Cabin Resort on the lake, with stunning lake and mountain views, food, and fun. There are rooms, cabins, and campsites at the resort (how great would it be to have your room right at the finish line!!), as well as public showers, restrooms, beach, restaurant, and beer!
The course reaches a maximum elevation of 1,619 feet, with a cumulative elevation gain of 3,519 feet over the 26.2-mile course. Challenging? Absolutely! This is a difficult course. But it’s worth it!
The long half marathon (almost 14 miles) is the western 1/2 of the full marathon course. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 10AM HALF MARATHON IS SOLD OUT - PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE 11AM HALF
The 50K is the full marathon course, with a 5-mile out-and-back added on the Spruce Railroad Trail on the north shore of Lake Crescent.

* There are no T-shirts or medals - runners get a GOAT Run pint glass (and contents!)
* For safety, please no headphones
* The 50K starts 7:30am - 8 hr time limit. The race is limited to 100 people, cost $80. Parking and check in at Crescent School in Joyce, WA.
* Full marathon starts 8:30am - 7 hr time limit. The race is limited to 100 people, cost $70. Parking and check in at Crescent School in Joyce, WA.
* Half marathon starts 10am,wave 1, 11am wave 2. Shuttle from Joyce, WA. 9:30am and 10:30am. Each wave is limited to 100 people, cost $50.
