Peel Paddle 50 Race Notes:

Registration Location:
Gravel car park on river side, first left after crossing bridge on Pinjarra Rd heading south, across river from Ravenswood Hotel

Relay & Team Boat Registration:
All Relay & Team members must register individually. Record your team mate[s] names in requested field, No Team boats in Relay

Rules on Entrants Age:
Minimum Age for Full Course: Year of birth has to be 2000 or earlier, No Age Restriction for Relay

Race Time & Paddler Fatigue Management:
Minimum Speed: 8.5km/hr average, Cut-off time for each leg = 1hr 50mins [includes teams & relay]

Main Course:

Start:
Ravenswood Bridge

Leg 1:
Downstream, right and round Jeegarnyeejip Island anticlockwise and back to Ravenswood Bridge. Right turn marked by 5knot speed sign on the island, straight ahead and a red channel marker to the left [looking down stream]. Go to the right of the channel marker.

Leg 2:
Ravenswood to the bridge at Pinjarra. Long course paddlers go into the right most span, turn to the left and back through the span closest to the opposite bank. Relay paddlers paddle into the span to right of centre and new paddler wait in span to left of centre [looking from downstream]. Launch at Henry Street Boat ramp

Leg 3:
Pinjarra Bridge back to Ravenswood

Details of Relay Legs:

1. Ravenswood, downstream to Peel inlet, back to Ravenswood
2. Ravenswood to Pinjarra
3. Pinjarra to Ravenswood

Guppy Course:

Start at Ravenswood. Paddle to Forrest Highway Bridge and back [approx 3.6km]
Under 10: One lap; Under 12, Short, Novice: Two Laps
