Important Information for 2021


The annual A Day on the Beach event will not be held in 2021 but the Australia Day ocean swims will still be conducted.

Entry will be online only. Online entries will be accepted until 4pm the previous day. Late entries will not be accepted.

Entries will be capped at a total of 250 across both distances.

Competitors will be assigned a “bib” number when entering. Please write this number on the back of your hand with a permanent marker and underline before arriving at the beach.

All swimmers are to check in at the KBSLSC shed behind the toilet block opposite the beach before 8am. Please bring a flouro cap if you have one.

Presentations will be made at the KBSLSC shed.

A Covid-19 plan will be in operation.
Do not attend if you are unwell.
Do not attend if you have travelled to any Australian Government hotspot within 14 days or if you have been instructed by Public Health to isolate.
Appropriate social distancing must be practiced at all times.
Competitor contact details have been collected as part of your online entry. However, if you have supporters attending please ensure their contact details are recorded at the various registration points.

500m Novice Swim
$15 for Juniors
$20 for Non-juniors

1.5km Series Points Swim
$20 for Juniors
$30 for Non-juniors

Race Day Details


Before arriving: Write your “bib” number on the back of your hand with a permanent marker and underline.
7:30am - 8:00am: Check in.
8:20am: 500m race briefing.
8:30am: 500m race start.
8:45am: 1.5km race briefing.
From 9:00am: 1.5km race starts in waves.
