Humboldt Redwoods Peavine/Rainbow Ridge Loop

The ride will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. from the parking lot at Dyerville Overlook. There will be a rider meeting at 9:50 at the registration table.  At the start/finish line we will have hot coffee, fresh seasonal fruit, and Los Bagels is continuing their support with a bagel donation. Please bring your own coffee cup.

Please note: Motorized bicycles are not allowed on Humboldt Redwoods State Park trails.

Route description:Riders will head out Mattole Road to Look Prairie Road. From there they will climb up to Peavine Ridge and follow that to Rainbow Ridge all the way to Panther Gap. The riders will return to Dyerville Overlook via Mattole Road. The ride is about 35 miles long with about 4700 feet of climing on mostly gravel roads. There are a couple short-cut options on Thornton Trail (fun single track) and Pole Line Road. Both bring the rider back to Mattole Road.

Please be self sufficient and know your limitations; there is no event support along the route.
