The Charity Christmas Run at Rathfinny

The Charity Christmas Run at Rathfinny in aid of WOLO.

A double looped 5.25km course around the brutal but beautiful Rathfinny Vineyard in Alfriston, East Sussex.

The rain held off (thankfully), but the wind was very gusty throughout the race especially along the valley where runners had to face in to 40 mph winds for approx 800 metres.

With our focus on running event carbon footprint, a lot of the runners car shared to reduce their travel impact. We also held a raffle for the follwing prizes:

1. A signed copy of We Can't Run Away from This by Damian Hall.
2. 3 signed copies of Trainer by Darren Evans.
3. 6 Trainer Repair kits donated by PairUps.

A huge well done to all runners that took part and for raising money for local cancer charity WOLO. www.wolofoundation.org

Runners were supported around the course by wonderful marshall folk with Jane and Kirstry doing a sterling job on the Webscorer timing system. Also a huge thank you to Samantha Aitken for helping with course marking the day before.
