Race notes
Excellent race conditions and a great turnout after a dreadful Saturday. The 'twins' Daniel Brasier and Iain Mathieson-Blake took first and second in both races! Great work guys! Giles Robinson scored an amazing third in the 10k (straight from the nightclub - always very impressive!). Chris Bartlett came a close 4th in 45:56. First Lady home in the 10k was Charlotte Davey at 54:14, with Joanna Quirk at 55:41. Bronwen Pullin - well done at 10k, sliding around the muddy shores in 1h:34.
In the 6.7k Matt Shapland chased the twins and was third in 36:15, with youngster Kyna Will in 4th (awesome Kyna). Matt Fullick and Claire Simmonds in 45 mins can have a peaceful Sunday lunch together. Chris and Mark Anderson jogged and walked the lake in 1h:18 - great effort.
We lost only one runner out of 57 - later found in Starbucks on Ascot a High Street. Well done to all runners - bootcampers and new participants - thanks for making the RATLsnake such a success. Hope you all enjoyed it. Next race date to be announced soon. Happy New Year!
