Løpsnotater
Wind conditions were less than 5 knots which made for a very hot race! Distance racers circumnavigated Lake Mizell in a counter-clockwise direction for a total of 1.8 miles. Elite racers battled it out in a new drag-race format by paddling moderately into the wind to the starting line .5 mi out. Racers then lined up & sprinted in a straight shot to the finish line with the wind at their backs. This was completed 3 times, with the first heat being timed & the remaining 2 heats based on placement.
