A good run today although there was some confusion at the start of the race. The time keeper said go but people were standing around until he made it clear that it was GO. After the race we were told to take 20 seconds off our recorded times which would make a personal best time for me. It would make my time 29:47 just 4 seconds better than my previous PBT.

I felt today that I could beat my best time, however, I was stopped during the run by another runner who had found some keys on the track. They were not mine but the delay meant that I didn't beat my best time coming in 46 seconds longer so 32.12 today.

After several weeks of rain, the track today was dry and good to run on, however the temperature has risen by a good 5 or 6 degrees so it was hot and humid. This reflected on my time of 32.14 up from my previous best of 31.26. Still a good run and as always followed by coffee and conversation.

After several weeks of heavy rain and slippery running shoes on the track, I put in a bit of effort and tried to improve on my time for the 5 km. My target is to do the 5 km in under 30 minutes so I still have some way to go. 32.46 was my time today and I am happy with that.

Another warm morning with strong competition from the younger guys. Last week I walked the course in 42 plus minutes. My goal this week was to beat 40 minutes but I tried some short jogging sessions and did the run in 37:23. Next weeks target is to beat 35:00 minutes.

This was the first practice run for the Clark Run and although I had walked the course many times, I had never set myself a target time. On this occasion I wanted to do the course in 45 minutes setting a time of 9 minutes per kilometer. I managed to finish in 42:52, 2 minutes under my target.
