Race report

Changed up the bike this year - 27.5" Santa Cruz Bronson. Weather was overcast and cool, started pouring at 1:00 pm and didn't let up. Trails got really soupy and were filled with lots more people than ever before - a few standing log jams in the woods. No wipeouts. Felt awesome at the finish.

Race report

First (and last) time doing Ore Crusher - fun. Did it three days after doing a brutal scorpion crash on Pangor (Mount Seymour) so had whiplashed neck muscles and badly damaged knees and elbows. Cool, overcast day - perfect conditions.

Race report

Awesome weather for the second year in a row - 19 degrees, overcast with heavenly light showers a few times on the climb. One wipeout at the end of the Plunge. Started out relaxed and remained steady from Nine Mile onwards.

Race report

PERFECT weather - overcast, cool, and dry. Raced the 29" Rocky Element (and clipless) for the second year - felt awesome!

Sport: Cycling - mtn cross-country

Race report

Hottest (and driest) Test of Metal of the three I've done so far. Unchecked kinked Camelback hose led to far less hydration (ie. more spasms) than desired.
First year racing my Rocky Element 29", and clipless. Two big spills that left little skin on my forearms.

Race report

Wettest TOM in history - 55mm on race day! Felt awesome (and a tad wet and muddy) at the end. Went through a new set of brake pads in 5 hours.
Rode my 26" Trek Scratch Air.

First year of competing after picking up the sport 12 months earlier. Rode a three day old 26" bike (which was ordered too small by the shop), and was recovering from broken ribs from 5 weeks earlier.
