Racers battled the elements when winds picked up to around 25 mph & torrential downpour ensued about midway through the race. The short course was an out & back loop down the western shoreline. The long course circumnavigated Lk Virginia in a counter clockwise fashion with an additional 1 mile leg along the western shoreline.
