Marathon, Specialist category K4 & Knock-out Sprint Comp

Race Courses

Long Course [Approx 13km]:
Start & Finish under footbridge
Out of Claisebrook Cove between red markers.
Upstream under Windan Brdge, left of green marker opp. Maylands YC. Up to water-ski area alongside Race Course. Anticlockwise round green marker.
Back under Windan Brdge, past Cove. Clockwise round green & red markers at footbridge site.
Back & into Cove between red markers. Clockwise round buoy in Cove. Repeat for 2nd lap.

Short Course [Approx. 6km.]:
Start & Finish under footbridge
Single lap of main course

Guppie Course [Approx 4.5km]:
Start & Finish under footbridge
Out of Cove between red markers.
Upstream under Windan Bridge, round pylon.
Back & into Cove between red markers.
Clockwise round buoy in Cove.
U10: Two laps
U12: Three laps

Sprints:
After the marathon, there will be a knock-out sprint comp in Cove in different boat & age group categories. Sprint entry free, enter if you can.

Race Preparation:
Number on Boat:
Ensure vertical & readable both sides. No. slots w suckers on sale $15
River Hazards:
Boat traffic, Shallow water upstream of Cove and on right nr Race Course. Rocks close to race course on right approaching water ski area
Sun & Heat:
Protective clothing, sun block & water to drink

Team Boats:
All register individually, name partner(s) family name only
Guppies:
U12 in doubles if at all possible

Parking:
Park on Nile St. downstream of Cove or Brown St upstream NOT in Royal St or the residential areas close by. There is vehicle entrance to the start only for required vehicles and disabled access
