Join us Friday, July 18, 2025, for a 1.17-mile uphill challenge with 308-ft gain, 5.0% grade (6,979–7,287 ft). Hosts 151 athletes in 8 waves for fun competition.
Event Details
Date/Time: Pre-race at 8:00 AM, first wave at 8:30 AM, ends by 10:00 AM.
Location: Start at turf field by playground (public); finish at water tower. Round trip ~3.75 miles, start line 1 km away.
Parking: Park legally alongside road by 7:45 AM.
Restrictions: No pavilions, lakefront, or water (HOA rules).
Wave Schedule
Wave 1: Bibs 3–42, 36 runners, 8:30 AM.
Wave 2: Bibs 43–54, 12 runners, 8:45 AM (15-min gap).
Wave 3: Bibs 55–70, 16 runners, 8:46 AM.
Wave 4: Bibs 72–85, 14 runners, 8:47 AM.
Wave 5: Bibs 89–103, 15 runners, 8:48 AM.
Wave 6: Bibs 124–135, 12 runners, 8:49 AM.
Wave 7: Bibs 111–123, 13 runners, 8:50 AM.
Wave 8: Bibs 136–151, 16 runners, 8:51 AM.
Pre-Race
Check-In: Bibs at turf field, 7:30–8:15 AM.
Warm-Up: Wave 1: Jog 1 km, drills. Others: Routines (boys 2 miles, girls 1.5 miles, then drills).
Bathrooms: Limited—use gas stations en route. Port-o-potties may be hard to access.
Race Day
8:00–8:30 AM: Briefing (etiquette: "Pass left, yield right, call out").
8:30–8:51 AM: Waves start as scheduled.
Course: Narrows at end—Wave 1 spread out early. Volunteers guide.
Post-Race
Finish: Water tower (~8:45–9:05 AM), return ~4.25 miles down (Strava: https://www.strava.com/routes/3380726817623452286) or shorter to turf.
Awards/Results: Water tower (8:45–9:30 AM), then turf by 9:30 AM.
Rewards: Shirts for boys <8:00, girls <9:00 Bear (Webscorer tracked). No shoes for guest teams breaking 7:00 (boys) or 8:00 (girls) due to cost.
Refreshments: Cookies/chocolate milk at turf (9:30–10:00 AM).
Long Run: Option for 4.25-mile descent.
