Race Day Schedule:

Short Course, U14 & Guppies
Registration .............7.30am to 8.00am
Briefing ....................8.00am
Start .........................8.15am

Seniors
Registration .............7.30am to 8.15am
Briefing ....................8.30am
Start ........................9.00am [or sooner if possible]

Distances
Seniors, U16 & U18......10.0km (10 x 1km laps )
Short, U14 & U12 Guppies......5km (5 x 1km laps)
U10 Guppies......3km (3 x 1km laps)

Categories are age/boat/gender based
Have to paddle against somebody else to get a medal. Age is as per age at the end of the year.

Race Preparation:
Number on Boat: Ensure vertical & readable both sides. Number slots with suction cups on sale $15
Sun & Heat: Bring protective clothing, sun block & water to drink

Starting Waves:
Short course are all Zero Numbers. 10K course grids are as per first number on number plate [101 = Grid 1]. Start intervals will be approximately 1min but controlled by the starting team. If you do a false start, don’t stop, you’ll receive a 15s penalty. Starting grids are sorted into: 1 = Doubles, 2 = U16 to Open, 3. 35+ & 45+, 4. 55+ & 65+

Course Markers:
The course is marked with corner buoys. Buoy cutting will receive a 15s penalty. The finish is between the Timing Tent and a Dedicated buoy. Paddlers crossing the finish line early will be out of the race.

Results will be presented as soon as last racer is in. Please stay for medals and trophies.
