Nearby parking is ample at Bluemont Park. You will see our table at the north end of the parking area.
Please pick up your bib number from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM.
On the back of your bib number, your RFID tag is attached in a protective plastic waterproof envelope.
We re-use the same RFID tags at every race, so please leave it intact on the tear-off tag with your name at the bottom of your bib number. Please wear the bib number on the front of your shirt, not obscured in any way, so we can see your number from far away.
We play the National Anthem at 7:50 AM, followed by race director Mike Cannon's instructions.
If you are in the 5K, you start at 8:00 AM, and your course is out-and-back with an uphill and downhill at the start and finish. Please finish to your LEFTin front of the scoring table and over the timing mat. The RFID system records your 5K finish time.
If you are in the 10K, you start at 8:10 AM, and your course is out-and-back, then stay on your RIGHT,turn around the cone, then out and back again, so you get to enjoy the same hill four times. The RFID system picks up your midpoint (5K) split AND your 1
