Covid-19 Risk Assessment Advice for Bob Smith Handicap

(1) If you have any of the following symptoms (new dry cough, loss of taste and smell, high temperature) do not enter any of the races.

(2) Wear facemasks unless running the races. Spectators should also observe social distancing.

(3) Please enter and pay for entries to races on- line ( see tonykingham@blueyonder.co.uk).

This will reduce the need to queue at the start area and help to avoid contact between runners.

(4) If handling money at registration, then please use the hand sanitisers available at the registration desk.

(5) Please ensure that you leave name and contact details with Tony Kingham when you enter.

(6) Please arrive at the start only a few minutes before your official handicap time ( First runner(s) will start at 7.00pm) to avoid queuing and gathering in groups likely to increase contact between runners).

(7) If you enter on the evening of the race then wear a face mask whilst queueing , maintain social distancing in any queue, use hand sanitisers and once you have your number and handicap details leave the start area.

(8) Run in single file unless overtaking and avoid contact with other canal towpath users.

(9) At the end of the races please enter the finish funnel but try to keep a social distance from other finishers, spectators, and officials.

(10) Please leave the finish area as soon as you have completed the race. There should be no group gathering and competitors should disperse immediately they have finished their races. Similarly, spectators should leave the site as soon as possible after the finish of any person they are watching and supervising.
