Another near-perfect night for the last 20km of the season and it produced personal bests for a number of riders. Don Gillmore won again with a time only 10 seconds outside his course record and Patrick Burnham beat his previous best despite being delayed by a slower rider at the turn. Lorrie Baildham took first place in the women's category with a further improvement on her way back to full fitness and Abigail Hare also posted a P.B. To add to her great ride at the axel Merckx youth camp last weekend. Ian Gillmore won the male youth category, again in a personal best time for the distance.
The number of entries was down on last week, but at 17, was still very good for the middle of the holiday season and way up on last year's average.
